• Public confidence in the adopted plan • Present City staff with current trends in equipment and associated amenities. • Compile inventory of existing parks. • Established standards for multiple categories of parks including parking, equipment, signage, and associated amenities. • Evaluate existing parks and compare to adopted standard, outlining a capital improvement plan with high level estimates. • Examine the Midwest City Municipal Code where it applies to park operations and suggest updates and amendments. This will include the basic rules and hours of operation. • Compare existing inventory, annual budget, and maintenance staffing levels with other cities in the Oklahoma City metro and to at least four cities selected by City staff. • Map existing parks and analyze locations compared to population served; making recommendations on new parks, changing the categories of some existing parks, and closing of parks that do not meet standards. • Create a scoring matrix for prioritization of future park and recreational facility requests. • Evaluate existing Splash Pad facility and make recommendations.
