A. Establish an investigation approach and sampling method plan of the structure in order to adequately and safely collect material samples for testing. B. Conduct structure and surface ground investigations to identify suspected hazardous substances and collect samples to support the investigation findings. Material collection shall be per established sampling plan and conducted by properly trained and certified personnel. The testing of material samples shall be completed by an accredited laboratory. 1) The exterior survey shall include, but not be limited to, the structure shell, exterior paint (where applicable), caulking, sealants, exposed waterproofing, roofing, underlayment, insulation, siding and other building materials suspected of containing asbestos, lead or other hazardous materials. 2) The interior survey shall include, but not be limited to paint, caulking, sealants, insulation, pipe insulation and other building materials suspected of containing asbestos, lead or other hazardous materials.
