A. General Conditions Work to be done consists of striping the centerline of various roads throughout Lincoln County, including "no pass" areas as required, for a total of approximately 176 centerline miles and striping of fog lines of various roads throughout Lincoln County for a total of approximately 295 fog line miles. Materials to be used on this project will be Ennis-Flint, Inc. lead free, water borne traffic line bead binder paint and Potters Industries, AC-110 glass beads, which shall be furnished by Lincoln County. These products are stored at the County's Public Works facility at 410 NE Harney St, Newport, Oregon. The paint is contained within 250-gallon totes and the beads are within 2400-pound bags. CENTERLINE STRIPES: The centerline stripe/stripes shall be a yellow four (4) inch wide line with a 1:3 ratio skip line (10-foot segments and 30-foot gaps), or solid line/lines with a four (4) inch wide gap between lines, as directed by the County. The centerline stripe shall be understood to include the "no passing" solid yellow striped lines to be applied at locations determined by County. The application rate shall be 13 gallons of paint per single solid centerline mile at 12 mils thickness. The bead application rate shall be four (4) pounds of glass beads per one (1) gallon of paint. FOG LINE STRIPES: The fog line stripe shall be a white four (4) inch wide line. The application rate shall be 13 gallons of paint per single solid line mile at 12 mils thickness. In areas that require bike lane stripes, stripes shall be a white eight (8) inch wide line. The application rate for a single wide line shall be 26 gallons per mile at 12 mils thickness. The bead application rate shall be four (4) pounds of glass beads per one (1) gallon of paint. The Contractor shall have equipment and sufficient personnel to be capable of striping a minimum of 24- line miles per 10-hour workday. Lincoln County will be responsible for cleaning the county roads for which paint is to be applied. It will remain the County’s discretion if the roads have been cleaned sufficiently for paint to be applied.
