Marion County operates the North Marion Recycling & Transfer Station located at 17827 Whitney Lane NE, Woodburn, OR 97071. The facility regularly receives appliances that contain refrigerant as part of its regular operation. In order to dispose of these appliances in an environmentally responsible manner, and to conform to applicable laws, the County is contracting for the evacuation and disposal of refrigerant contained in these appliances. Upon successful evacuation, the contractor shall provide certification for each appliance that confirms the unit has had its refrigerant removed and is ready for disposal in accordance with environmental best practice as well as relevant laws. Contractor shall certify each appliance following the evacuation process in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws, including Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, Stationary Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
