The purpose of this RFQ is to contract with qualified contractor to provide Clackamas County employees with Health & Safety Institute (“HSI”) and Medic First Aid (“MFA”) BasicPlus CPR, AED, First Aid for Adults and blood borne pathogen classes. Upon successful completion of these classes, attendees shall receive valid certifications. • Classes shall include, but are not limited to: • The definition of and general principles of First Aid • Legal Considerations • Rescuer Safety (Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness) • Scene/Patient Assessment • Injury Emergencies: o Bleeding & Wounds; Bone & Joint Injuries; Head, Back, & Chest Injuries; Burns • Medical Emergencies: o Assessment and Care Breathing Problems: Asthma, Allergic Reactions, Using an EpiPen, Choking o Chest Pain & Heart Problems o Diabetic Emergencies, Stroke, & Seizures • Environmental Emergencies: o Heat/Cold related emergencies: Hypothermia/Heat Stroke o Poisoning: Inhaled/Absorbed/Ingested, Bites & Stings • Adult CPR (puberty (12yrs) & older): o Single Rescuer CPR - 1 manikin per 2 people, each person shall use their own CPR mask/shield • AED: o Hands on use of an automatic defibrillator in emergency scenarios The contractor shall provide all training materials, handouts, videos, mannequins, equipment, etc. • The County estimates 6-8 CPR/First Aid classes and 2 blood borne Pathogen classes per fiscal year (June-July). • Classes shall be held in person on campus. Located at our Public Service Building. • Class dates and times shall be mutually agreed upon. • Class size is estimated at 20-24 attendees
