Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services (DAVS) is seeking to contract with an organization that provides chore/cleaning services to older adults and people with disabilities. Chore services can include muck outs, a deep clean of a participants home, some biohazard cleaning services, and the removal and disposal of garbage or no longer needed furniture/appliances. Prospective partners who want to submit a proposal must have extensive experience working with Older Adults and People with Disabilities and be able to demonstrate said experience upon County request. Community members served by this contract will be referred by the County to the Contractor and before services may be completed, an estimate must be submitted to the County for approval. Contractors should honor their estimates but if, after work begins, the Contractor realizes that a job reveals unforeseen circumstances, the Contractor must submit a revised estimate for County approval before completing work that would put the job over the originally approved fee for service. Contractor and all employees/volunteers must comply with criminal history check rules as stated in OAR 407-007-200 through 407-007-380. Criminal history checks must be submitted through the State Background Check Unit's system, ORCHARDS. Also, contractor cannot deny to provide services to any member of the community based off of a protected class.
