Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide a curriculum to Clients that focuses on developing skills, accessing resources, building relationships, and overcoming barriers. The curriculum shall be offered on a rotating schedule throughout the year to maximize accessibility for Clients. The curriculum should include topics such as:; Home finance: Focus on topics of debt reduction, rental/housing finances, creating; and managing a budget, and other independent living skills. Clients shall complete a personal budget by the end of the workshop.; Health: Focus on mental health, substance abuse, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and self-care. Racial disparities in healthcare and quality of healthcare among African American males shall be discussed.; Employment, Education and Legal Issues: Focus on identifying individual needs, interests and barriers, and the resources available.; Employment: Issues discussed include job readiness and training, including resume and cover letter creation, interviewing skills, workplace skills, and how to keep a job. Contractor may refer Clients to available career preparation programs for career coaching, career exploration and internship opportunities.; Education: Contractor shall assist individuals in obtaining a high school diploma or GED; pursuing postsecondary education (apprenticeships, training, and college). Participants should receive intensive, culturally competent alternative education services.; Legal: Contractor shall assist individuals with record expungement, child support, and other legal issues.; Relationships: Focus on decision-making skills, relationships with family and friends, parenting skills, and safe and violence-free relationships.
