4.01 PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT A. The Contract Documents govern the Work to be done, set forth the relative responsibilities of the Owner and Contractor, and establish the method by which changes in the Contract Documents are made. The Contractor’s obligations shall include without limitation the following: 1. The Contractor shall furnish all Materials, Equipment, labor, transportation, and Incidental Work required to complete the Work according to the Contract Documents. 2. The Contractor shall perform the Work according to the lines, grades, Typical Sections, dimensions and other details shown on the Plans, as modified by written order, or as directed by the Owner’s Representative. 3. The Contractor shall perform all Work determined by the Owner’s Representative to be necessary to complete the Project. 4. The Contractor shall contact the Owner’s Representative for any necessary clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents. B. Some details of the Work may be found in only one location in the Contract Documents. Therefore, the Contractor must review all portions of the Contract Documents in order to know the scope of the Work. C. The Owner has adopted standards that may be applicable to the Plans and Specifications in the Contract Documents. Any reference to a standard in the Contract Documents refers to the ones in effect at the time that the Project was bid.
