● Facilitate and provide professional development on the curriculum to a monthly cohort of PFA Providers (cohort 1: English with interpretation available and cohort 2: Spanish). ○ The CO will support outreach and recruitment for cohort members by offering high level curriculum information sessions to providers. The CO will also work closely with PEL staff on cohort outreach and recruitment efforts. ○ The CO will provide an initial orientation that includes an overview of curriculum, structure, goals, and key components, how it aligns with state standards, developmental benchmarks, and benefits of having a structured curriculum. ○ Cohort Monthly training sessions: The CO will conduct monthly training sessions until the curriculum is fully reviewed. There is a minimum of 12 training sessions that must be facilitated by the CO alongside possible ad hoc training sessions that do not include orientation sessions. The cohort sessions must be offered with language interpretation available and materials must be translated in multiple languages. ■ Curriculum Framework: Breakdown of the curriculum structure (themes, units, weekly planning, explaining planning tools and resources. ■ Instructional Strategies: Model effective teaching techniques for whole group, small group, and individualized instruction, introduce differentiation strategies to meet diverse learner needs ■ Observation & Assessment: Train providers on observation techniques to assess child progress. Demonstrate how to use assessment data to inform instruction ■ Family Engagement: Share strategies for involving families in the curriculum. ■ Reflective Practice: Guide providers in reflecting on their teaching practices. ○ Quarterly training sessions: The CO will offer quarterly trainings for all PFA early educators to learn about the curriculum. The trainings must be offered with language interpretation available and materials must be translated in multiple languages. The trainings should be offered in the evening or on the weekend for all early educators to have access to attend. ● Offer individualized support by phone and email for providers with questions or concerns on curriculum implementation. ● Communicate and collaborate regularly with PEL and PEL Partners, including attending regular program planning, support and implementation meetings. In addition, support coaches with technical assistance as needed.
