Project Description Add functional access control and security alarm systems to the existing building entry points. Site requirements are as follows: • Maintenance Shop building requires 5 doors to have card reader access. 2 of these doors are to have security alarm systems. • 8-Bay Storage Building requires 2 doors to have card reader access and security alarm systems. All required programming and testing of the LENEL Card Access System must be performed by a certified Lenel installer. Contractor to subcontract programming and testing to certified LENEL installer from the VAR (see below under Value Added Resellers List). Security alarm systems to be monitored by ODOT-appointed firm after project is complete. Detailed Specifications 1. Install card readers and door latch actuators on 4 exterior doors and 3 interior doors. 2. Coordinate with licensed electrician for all electrical work required per contract. 3. Use existing low voltage conduit from MS building to storage building. 4. Run wire from door readers and strikes to the network room; coordinate termination with certified Lenel Reseller (see below under Value Added Resellers List) at all locations as necessary. 5. The top of the readers must be at or below 48”. 6. Coordinate lenel system programming and testing with ODOT Access Control staff. 7. Install security alarm panels at 54”. Coordinate motion sensor location with ODOT CPM. 8. Security alarm systems compatible with Total Connect. 9. Security alarm systems shall be integrated with the lenel systems so that alarms are cancelled by badge swiping. Coordinate alarms arming schedule with CPM. Lenel System Wiring Specifications: 1. Door Strikes: 18/2 (Green) Plen 1K 2. Card Readers: 22/6 SH (Green) PLE 1K 3. Both reader and latch wiring installed down strike/handle side of the door. 4. At Maintenance Shop, conceal all exposed wiring with wiremold. At storage building, use EMT conduit. 5. Wire should be coiled at each end long enough for installer to connect to the reader, strike and panel.
