Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lane County purchased a mobile medical unit with special COVID response funding. This mobile unit has 2 exam rooms, one ADA-accessible exam table, a small bathroom, small lab area, an ADA-lift and an exterior retractable awning. Specifications may be requested by respondents. (contact: collette.christian@lanecountyor.gov) Public Health is exploring the use of the mobile medical unit to provide both direct services, such as screening and infectious disease testing and provision of immunizations, as well as screening for program eligibility, outreach and health education services. It is anticipated that, in some cases, the mobile medical unit will provide both outreach and direct services simultaneously. High level consulting and planning services are required to assist with setting priorities in collaboration with community partners and in the implementation of the resulting plans. Higher Level Consulting: Lane County is soliciting proposals from experienced, qualified consultants who can work with Public Health staff, local civic groups, community based grassroots organizations and, potentially, local authorities to develop a practical approach to prioritizing the strategic uses of this van. Lane is a large county, with many micro-pockets of residents with divergent needs. It is anticipated this consultant would work with the County for approximately four months, with the possibility to extend the contract period, as needed. Protocols and Procedures. The consultant will advise on the protocols and procedures needed to support clinical services and other public health services delivered via mobile health. Our goal is to ensure that staff delivering services outside our fixed physical location/s have clear protocols and procedures; and are meeting the same standards as staff who are delivering services within the fixed physical locations where public health services are provided. This phase may include development of a policy manual or other administrative protocols with check lists or other administrative aids. Consultant will be provided access to existing County and/or Department Policies and Procedures.
