LCOG S&DS is looking for the most responsible proposer to operate the Metro Meals on Wheels program within the city limits of Eugene, Oregon and any area not served by LCOG serving eligible consumers: 1) sixty years or older who are homebound, as defined by the federal Older Americans Act (OAA), 2) people eligible for Medicaid, Oregon Project Independence (OPI) Classic, State Plan Personal Care (SPPC), and Oregon Project Independence - Medicaid (OPI-M) as authorized by a LCOG S&DS Case Manager through the consumers care plan. The Proposer will be responsible for purchasing hot and bulk frozen meals from the LCOG S&DS contracted Food Service Provider at a per meal contracted rate. Meals are produced by the contracted Food Service Provider which operates a central kitchen that serves all of Lane County Meals on Wheels dispatch locations. This RFP does not include food preparation. The Proposer is responsible for the portioning and packaging of hot meals and the delivery operations of all meals (frozen and hot) to all authorized Meals on Wheels consumers.
