The main aim of this Project is to develop a comprehensive statewide resource guide that provides information about resources for people with developmental disabilities and their families that have Spanish language support. The guide shall be: a. accessible to people with developmental disabilities b. written in plain language c. designed with consideration to emergent and non-readers d. have a paper and electronic component e. Created in Spanish initially, then translated to English f. include common terminology, acronyms and definitions used in the developmental disability community g. descriptions of the resources along with phone, website, and other relevant, general contact information. The contractor will research and collate statewide information and resources available to individuals and families with I/DD along with summary descriptions of how services can be accessed. This includes but is not limited to government services, medical services, mental health services, behavioral health services, community based organizations and nonprofits respite services, educational services, support groups.
