a. Harvesting Crops: Tasks include picking, cleaning and sorting crops by hand or machine. Tree orchard crops may require ladder work. b. Preparing and installing equipment to install in the field. c. Planting and caring for crops, including, but not limited to, pruning, thinning, weeding, tree training, etc. d. Assembling complex irrigation control systems. e. Upon request by OSU, providing at least two (2) certified forklift operators (or capable of being certified). f. Setting siphon tubes, digging corrugates and other general irrigation tasks. g. Cleaning crop samples. h. Working on grading table operations. i. Lifting up to 75 lbs. j. Cleaning tasks, including sweeping, shoveling, water wash down. k. Trapping rodents. I. Maintaining and repairing equipment. m. Spraying general use pesticides from a backpack sprayer. All use of pesticides and herbicides must be requested and approved by OSU. The Contractor shall ensure that agricultural laborers are fully trained and properly licensed to apply herbicides and pesticides. n. Other requested tasks such as tree trimming and landscaping duties. o. Practice good hygiene and sanitation practices while working for OSU.
