Specifications include, but are not limited to: A domain is already in existence (http://cwride.org/), however it is in need of a complete update. OCWCOG will be the contracting agency and primary point of contact; however we work closely in collaboration with our stakeholders and their input will be vital to the process. These agencies include: Lincoln County Transit, Benton County Transit, Corvallis Transit System, Albany Transit System, the Linn Benton Loop (operated by Albany Transit System), Lebanon Inter-Neighborhood eXpress (LINX), and the Linn Shuttle. Future phases of the project include two additional Tasks: a) automatic vehicle location data, referred to as “real time information,” and b) mobile ticketing. Within our tri-county region, there are seven transit agencies, each with separate fares and schedules. This project is focused on the core belief we should make it as easy as possible for the general public to take transit, if we indeed want to increase ridership. Within those seven agencies, there are approximately 50 buses of varying size and age.
