The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Walla Walla District is seeking sources for a supply project: MNA Spillgate Repair Pit Work Platform. This project involves the purchase of one new Spillway Repair Pit Work Platform for delivery to McNary Lock and Dam in Umatilla, OR. The determination of the acquisition strategy for this procurement lies solely with the Government and will be based on market research and information available to the Government from other sources. A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of firms, large or small businesses, including small-disadvantaged businesses, HUBZONE small businesses, woman-owned small businesses, or service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses interested in and technically capable of performing the scope-of-work in the specified location. BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
For the purposes of market research, the U.S Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District requests letters of interest from qualified supply/manufacturing contractors capable of supplying the platform for the following project:
McNary Lock and Dam, Umatilla, OR.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The contractor shall provide one new Spillgate Repair Pit Work Platform with the associated, complete operation and maintenance manuals. The Spillgate Repair Pit Work Platform shall have the following relevant specifications.
Topic:
- Mast Climbing Work Platform with the following specifications:
- Work Platform greater than 50 feet in length and greater than 5 feet in width.
- Free-standing Base allowing the work platform to reach 35 feet without anchors.
- Free-standing Base must fit in a footprint less than 12 feet width and 3-foot 9 inch height along its extensions.
- Electric motor driven lifting unit; minimum 240V 48A with a minimum 7000 lbs lifting capacity.
- 4-wire power cable 8AWG
- Guardrails (dimensioned per OSHA requirements) on three sides of work platform not facing working surface.
- Extendable Outriggers for extension of work platform.
- Operational Training
Each Spillgate Repair Pit Work Platform shall be covered by a minimum one-year warranty on all parts, labor, and workmanship from factory defects.
Interested firms should submit a capabilities package, to include the following:
