BIDS SHOULD BE BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The project scope includes repair and renovation for the roofing of (3) existing buildings 6, 7 & 8 as noted below. Roof recovery & replacement varies by building area as shown below. The total roof area to be re-roofed is approximately 104,560 SQ.FT. See below for the scope breakdown per building. All work is to be completed per approved specifications and approved plans.
BUILDING 6 – AREA 6A: APPROX. ROOF AREA - 12,560 SQ. FT.
- Re-roof over existing roof using liquid applied membrane
- New flashings, drip edges, etc., replace gutters
- Building 6 – area 6b-6g: approx. Roof area - 16,300 sq. Ft.
- Replace roof (LWC to remain) w/ new modified bitumen 2-ply
- Existing MEP penetrations, repair and renovations
- Provide new gutters as shown
- New cants, copings, flashings, drip edges, etc.
- New expansion joints as required
- Replace overflow drainage bowls
- Provide roof ladder
BUILDING 7 - AREA 7K & 7N: APPROX. ROOF AREA – 9,600 SQ. FT.
- Re-roof over existing roof using liquid applied membrane
- Existing MEP penetrations, repair and renovations
- New cants, copings, flashings, drip edges, etc.
- New expansion joints as required
- Provide new gutters as shown
- Replace overflow drainage bowls
- Minor stucco repairs
- Exterior lights
BUILDING 7 – ALL AREAS EXCEPT AREA 7K & 7N: APPROX. ROOF AREA – 46,100 SQ. FT.
- Re-roof over existing roof w/ new modified bitumen 2-ply
- Existing MEP penetrations, repair and renovations
- New cants, copings, flashings, drip edges, etc.
- New expansion joints as required
- Replace overflow drainage bowls
- Provide new roof hatch & ladders
- Exterior lights
BUILDING 8 – ALL AREAS: APROX. ROOF AREA – 20,000 SQ. FT.

EXISTING LIGHTNING PROTECTION

All work during the summer can be completed during the day or night. The schedule will still have to be worked out with the school as summer activities will be happening on-site. During the school year, work can be completed after the school day is completed but the schedule will have to be coordinated with school staff as there are activities at night. Holidays and weekends can be day or night work but still need to coordinate with school staff as activities are sometimes scheduled during these times.
The construction area or lay-down area will need fencing. Any damage to sidewalks and landscaping will need to be repaired.
ESTABLISHED PROJECT BUDGET FOR CONSTRUCTION: $2,400,000.00
