BID GUARANTEE
Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of $2,860.00. The Guarantee shall be in the form of either a Bid Bond or Cashier’s Check payable to The School District of Palm Beach County. All Bidders must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond. No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for receipt of Bids for a period of 60 days. The Board or its designee reserves the right to waive minor technicalities and irregularities in all Bids.
Further, in order to protect the integrity of the Award Process, all questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted via BidNet Direct @ www.bidnetdirect.com NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M., EST on MARCH 10, 2025.
Only questions received via BidNet Direct @ www.bidnetdirect.com by the time and date specified will be answered by Addendum and posted on BidNet Direct.
BIDS SHOULD BE BASED UPON THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
1. Re-roofing of existing press box. This is a direct roofing replacement and not a renovation
2. New roof system shall be a modified bitumen. 2 ply polyester reinforced, with r-20 insulation, type roofing system. Basis of roof system design equal to Soprema.
3. Existing roofing shall be removed down to metal deck.
4. Remove and replace existing flashing, with new stainless steel min. 26 gage drip edge flashing.
5. Remove and replace all existing flashing, with new approved flashing for use with roofing manufacture.
6. Provide new insulation approved for use with roofing manufacturer, minimum 1-1/2" tapered R-20 polyiso insulation.
7. Provide new gutter and leader to control runoff.
8. All roof penetrations, including but not limited to, guardrails, PA equipment, curbing, etc. shall be removed and replaced on new roofing and / or repaired if damaged or new, install as required.
9. Repair as required existing steel deck, only at damaged and degraded areas.
10. Remove and replace existing guardrails to existing location, after new roof insulation, as required by FBC 1015.6 and OSHA. Provide new chain link fencing.
11. Provide wind pressure criteria required.
12. Remove and replace existing roof hatch and hatch guard rail with new.
13. All materials shall be per District specification or approved equivalent.
14. Any existing lightning protection equipment shall be removed and reinstalled.
15. Security signage is not included in this bid, and shall not be included in the pricing.

Contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement, including but not limited to: all surfaces, building elements, fencing, utilities, onsite and offsite elements, sidewalks, grasses, plantings, irrigation and hardscape disturbed by and/or damaged by construction activities.
Contractor to remove and/or modify chain link fencing, including adding gate(s) as required for site access. Openings in fence shall be secured at the endo of each workday. Fencing to be restored to equal or better condition upon the completion of the work.
