The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of providing a Brand Name Only InnoWave Unity 20 Sonic Irrigator 208V 60Hz. The machine will be delivered to the Erie VA Medical Center, located in Erie, PA 16504. Date Needed: 4/30/2025 Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Erie VA Medical Center, SPS department, has determined the need to replace the current Steris CaviWave Ultrasonic. This Steris CaviWave Ultrasonic that has reached its end of life. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Erie VA Medical Center, SPS department, has a requirement for one (1) new Steris InnoWave Unity Sonic Irrigator. This new Steris InnoWave Unity 20 Sonic Irrigator needs to be Brand Name Only as this is a direct replacement of compatible equipment, it utilizes current inventory of enzymatic detergent, trained personnel are familiar with the brand, it will accommodate larger orthopedic devices for incoming total joint replacement program expansion, and it satisfies the specific space requirements. Scope: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Erie VA Medical Center, SPS department, is seeking a Brand Name Only acquisition of a Steris InnoWave Unity 20 Sonic Irrigator to ensure the medical facility has the correct equipment to effectively sterilize and clean the reusable medical equipment for the current specialties and the incoming total joint program. This freestanding ultrasonic washer for surgical instruments can process up to 16 lumened devices, or up to 35 lbs. per cycle. The Steris InnoWave sonic provides automated dosing and precise delivery of chemistry. Additionally, it will accommodate larger orthopedic devices with deep baskets which will support the expanding total joint program at the Erie VAMC. The Steris InnoWave Unity Sonic Irrigator is designed to thoroughly clean (remove tissue, blood, and other contaminants from) a variety of reusable surgical instruments. Cleaning is achieved through a combination of ultrasonic cavitation and low-frequency cannulated pulse enhancement (CPE) fluid recirculation to dislodge and flush away unwanted debris from both outside and inside surfaces (hollow instruments only) of items placed in the tank. Integrated record keeping and easy export captures key cycle parameters which reduce audit-related stress for the Sterilization Processing Service. Additional features: Clear visibility of time and water temperature on the control panel Flexibility to adjust cleaning parameters with custom cycles to meet device Instructions for Use (IFU) Takes the guesswork out of dosing with automated and precise delivery of chemistry. Upon delivery, the contractor/vendor agrees to work with the facility personnel to: Conduct a joint inventory of goods by material number, quantity, and serial number. De- palletize shipment, unbox, and stage products. Unbox and assemble. Affix customer provided asset tags if required. Perform device in-service/demonstration to sterilization technicians. Dispose of waste packaging. Register device warranty. Perform ground continuity checks, leakage current, and power-on tests as required. Provide summary report.
