The Allegheny National forest, located in Pennsylvania, is soliciting the removal of exclosure fencing on the forest. All components of the fencing (all man made and placed materials) will be removed, transported off of forest lands and disposed of by the contractor in a responsible and approved manner. Conditions at each worksite will vary: Worksites may be accessed by 4x4 vehicles, ATV/UTV, small dozers, mini excavators, and by foot. Fencing may be accessible for removal at some worksites, but intervening trees and vegetation may need to be removed from some worksites before the fencing can be accessed. Access in all areas will be accomplished in an environmentally responsible manner, with businesses responsible for excessive damage. Site visits to all worksites by quoting businesses is strongly encouraged.
