Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCI Greene herein referred to as "the Institution," is seeking information on suitable legal mail screening machines for use within a correctional facility. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather details and specifications from potential vendors capable of providing a solution that effectively screens incoming legal mail for any substances soaked on the documents. The Institution operates as a correctional facility where the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors are of utmost importance. As part of our security measures, it is imperative to thoroughly screen incoming legal mail to prevent the introduction of contraband substances into the facility. The Institution is looking for legal mail screening machines that meet the following criteria: Ability to detect substances soaked on documents, including but not limited to drugs, chemicals, or other contraband materials. Efficiency in screening a high volume of legal mail within a reasonable timeframe. Reliability and accuracy of screening results to minimize false positives and negatives. Compliance with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines governing correctional facility security measures. Ability to effectively scan and detect any contraband that may be concealed in items such as boots, shoes, and commissary items, i.e., potato chip bags and sealed boxes of soap. The machine must possess mobility, including a battery backup, and be capable of transportation using a wheeled apparatus.
