Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Philadelphia (“the City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified “Applicant(s)” to provide voluntary benefits for Pet Insurance Benefits on behalf of all City’s active employees. There are approximately 6,400 eligible active employees. 3.1 Description of Services The City’s focus on Wellness and wellbeing has allowed us to effectively manage both employer and employee costs for the past eleven years. As a related matter, we believe Pet wellness will be of significant importance, as such providers under consideration must provide a wellness component as a part of their Pet insurance offering, there should be limitations for preexisting conditions exclusions. Although we understand the reimbursement model is the most prevalent, we would like to understand if other payment models exist. The City is seeking a Pet insurance provider appropriate to our employee population and will consider the following plan types: • Comprehensive coverage • Accident -only coverage • Pet wellness coverage • Preventive care
