Specifications include, but are not limited to: Make/Model At a minimum, the Trailers must be a H&H, 16 Ft. 14,000 Industrial Dump Trailer, PJ Trailers DL 16 Dump Trailer or equal, fully assembled and operational at time of delivery to include but not limited to the options and features detailed below. Paint Each Trailer must be cleaned, prime coated, and then powder or prime coated per the paint manufacturer’s process for the application. The prime coat(s) and finish coat (s) must be a minimum dry thickness of 4 mils total (2 mil. prime coat & 2 mil. coat). The Trailers must be smooth and free of rust, runs, overspray, peeling, weld splatter, and other defects. Color Trailer – Fleet White A paint chip must be provided to ITD for approval within seven (7) calendar days after award of the Contract. Further details will be provided upon award. Trailer Size – 82 in. wide by 16 ft. long. Frame – Steel channel design. 8 in. longitudinals, 3 in. cross members, and 6 in. tongue members. Sides – 24 in. tall sides, 10-gauge steel. Deck – 10-gauge steel, one piece design. Adjustable height hitch – 2-5/16 in. ball. Must be adjustable in height from 16 in to 24 in. Reflectorized tape – 2 in. wide reflectorized, self-adhesive, Diamond Grade 3M, or equal, conspicuity tape installed on the side and rear of trailer frame in a continuous length. Electrical plug – Must extend 24 in. beyond hitch and equipped with a 7-prong recreational vehicle (RV) style with flat blades plug. Safety chains – 2 ft. of 3/8 in. chains attached to trailer tongue and equipped with safety hooks. Axles & suspension – 7,000 pound rated drop type axles with 14,000 pound rated slipper spring suspension. Hubs – Must be equipped with easy lube feature. Tires – Five (5) ST235/80R16E. Spare mounted to front of trailer. Wheels painted black. Rear Gate – Barn door style with spreader function. Ramps – 6 ft. length heavy-duty slide-in ramps. Fenders – Steel tread plate. Stake pockets Tie downs – Six (6), three (3) per side, D-ring style mounted inside of trailer. Tarp – Must be equipped with tarp, tarp brackets, and tarp hooks for securing tarp. Pull tarp, semi-auto retractable. Tarp must be at a minimum 82 in. wide and 18 ft. long Material – Vinyl Thickness – Minimum 14 oz. Tilt – Hydraulic style with Power up, power down, utilizing a “scissor” type lift. Battery – 12 volt deep cycle battery with on-board charger. Lockable storage – Pump, battery, and charger to be within a lockable enclosure. A built-in lock is preferable, padlocking system is acceptable. Tool box – Must be mounted on the tongue of the Trailers. Lights – Must be Light Emitting Diode (LED), compliant with Federal Highways Administration (FHWA) requirements.
