Shipper containers must be UN Certified for Category A Specimens (CLASS 6.2) on DRY ICE (CLASS 9) and can also be used for Category B Specimens (UN 3373) on DRY ICE (CLASS 9). Outer shipping box containers must be white, and double walled, (15-3/4” x 14-1/2” x12-1/4”). ; 3.2 Diagnostic/Biological Substance Shipment Bags for shipping Category B Lab Specimens- 95 KPA-2 Bags must fit inside the inner component for Category B Shippers. Bags must be unlined and the total outer dimensions when laid flat must measure 7 ¾” x 13”. Each sealed bag must fit inside the preprinted box for the Category B Shipper. Each bag must be preprinted with the required biohazard symbol, directions for proper sealing of the bag and a document pouch located on the outside of the bag.; 3.3 Diagnostic/Biological Substance Shipment Bags for shipping Category B Lab Specimens-95 KPA-3 Bags must fit the inside of the inner component for Category B Specimen Shippers. Bags must be unlined and the total outer dimensions when laid flat must measure 7” x 11 ¾”. Each sealed bag must fit inside the preprinted box for Category B specimen shipper. Each bag must be preprinted with the required biohazard symbol, directions for proper sealing of the bag and a document pouch located on the outside of the bag. Bags must be US/DOT/IATA Certified. 3.4 Diagnostic/Biological Substance Diagnostic Shippers for shipping Category B Specimens The Diagnostic Shippers (combination tubes) must accommodate a fifty (50) ml Conical Centrifuge Tube. The outer tube must include a reusable white outer fiberboard screw-cap mailing tube (2’ x 5”) with a seamed metal bottom, crimped metal neck and matching threaded metal screw-cap. The inner tube must be 95 KPA 5.5oz (1 ¾” x 4 ¾”), HDPE plastic screw-cap bottle with a lined plastic white cap. This tube must be reusable, non-rusting and fit into the outer fiber board screw cap shipper.
