Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Fit and Fall Proof Master Trainer to assist in training and ongoing curriculum and professional development as well as technical assistance. A. The purpose of the Contract is to provide support to the health improvement of Idahoans, through provisions of refresher/update trainings of Fit and Fall Proof™ (FFP) Master Trainers, Class Leaders, and Public Health District (PHD) Coordinators; technical assistance/consultation; and other professional development activities as needed. Some travel throughout Idaho is anticipated. 1. FFP is an exercise-based fall prevention program designed for older adults in Idaho who are interested in functional exercises that focus on reducing the risk of falling. Local volunteer FFP leaders are trained to teach classes in their communities. Classes are held in places such as senior centers, community centers, churches, libraries and hospitals. B. The Contractor must provide technical assistance and consultation as needed to the trained, current FFP leaders and to the local Public Health District (PHD) program coordinators. 1. Technical assistance and consultation is anticipated to be primarily by phone or other remote communication methods. If the Department and Contractor mutually determine that travel is needed, travel will be reimbursed according to Section V. below. C. The Contractor must possess one (1) or more of the following, and documentation of these required credentials must be provided to the Department upon request. 1. A degree (bachelor, master, or higher) in at least one (1) of the following content areas: health science; physical education; kinesiology; or adult education; 2. A current, valid medical or clinical degree, including medicine, nursing, or physical therapy; and or 3. Four (4) years or more of experience as a FFP Master Trainer.
