Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Beaufort County School District (BCSD) is seeking qualified partner(s) to provide Furniture and Furniture Consulting Services. This RFP documents the requirements for the procurement of a solution to provide the District with administrative, classroom, cafeteria, media center furniture and other school use furniture, as requested. All proposals should be complete and carefully worded and must convey all of the information requested in order to be considered responsive. If the proposal fails to conform to the essential requirements of the RFP, the District and the District alone will be the judge as to whether that variance is significant enough to consider the RFP nonresponsive. This will be a comprehensive “turn-key” plan, to include a needs analysis, design, assessment, planning, inventory analysis, shipping, warehousing, delivery, installation and bar-coding of furniture and equipment for District Facilities Program, and replacement furniture in other locations on an as needed basis. Firms who are interested will be required to provide all phases of work. All waste materials must be disposed of in accordance with local laws at contractor’s expense. At no time shall the contractor make use of the District’s waste receptacles. If more than one qualified supplier is selected, the owner may request multiple bids on individual projects. The owner will select the qualified supplier based on a criteria that is in the best interest of the district.
