Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide High Capacity Pleated and Panel Air Filters; ) Filters of the size and air flow capacity shall meet the following rated performance specifications based on the ASHRAE 52.2 test method. Pertinent tolerances specified in Section 7.4 of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) Standard 850-93 shall apply to the performance ratings. All testing is to be conducted on filters with a nominal 24” x 24” face dimension. b) When tested per ASHRAE 52.2 method, the filter must have a minimum efficiency of 58% on particles in the 3 to 10-micron range. c) All Filters must be clearly labeled at the factory showing the proper size. d) Alternate filters must be presented, trialed and approved prior to bid commencement. Filter performance must meet or exceed the specifications above by judgments of the District. e) Special Size filters should be factory made as one continuous element. Taping of filters and cut/capped/stapled/ elements will not be accepted and returned at the vendor’s expense. f) The media shall be a blend of 100% virgin synthetic fibers. Media must also be self-supporting in pleated form or with internal metal framework in panel form.
