Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide all labor and materials, appliances, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation and services necessary for and incidental to performing decomposed granite (DG) multi-use trail repair and preventative maintenance earthen swales, and trail transition locations located within three (3) locations on the Moorpark Highlands trail system. • All three (3) locations are referenced on the Area Diagrams attachment. Area 1 contains eleven (11) earthen swales and one (1) DG transition to concrete. Area 2 contains thirteen (13) earthen swales and one (1) DG transition to concrete. Area 3 contains twelve (12) earthen swales and two (2) DG transitions to concrete. (See Attachment 8) • Maintain minimum 2% cross fall and positive drainage at all swale locations. • Remove fines, debris, ruts and grade all earthen swales so that swale line is level with mid-height of cobble and transitions in a straight line to catch trail grade. Contractor shall maintain minimum 2% cross fall in all directions. Earthen swales encompass an area 12’x12’ • Apply one (1) surface application of Technisoil G3, or equal, pathway stabilizer to all earthen swales. Contractor shall fine grade, repair ruts, wet and compact DG with a vibrating roller prior to application. Stabilized area shall include 12’x12’ at earthen swale locations. Application rate shall be per manufacturer’s recommendations. • Fine grade, repair ruts, and apply Technisoil G3, or equal, at transition areas where the multi-use DG trail transitions to concrete. Contractor shall add DG as needed so that DG is level with concrete. Contractor shall apply one (1) surface application of Technisoil G3 pathway stabilizer, or equal, the width of the trail and minimum 50’ in length. Contractor shall wet and compact with a vibrating roller DG prior to application. Application rate shall be per manufacturer recommendations. • Supply and install DG material that matches existing color, texture, and quality of the existing DG material. Contractor shall submit sample of DG material and obtain written approval from City representative. • Contractor shall obtain written approval from City representative if substituting Technisoil G3 with an equal product.
