Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Coverage of the Athletic Training Room and simultaneous practice(s) after school hours (normally 3:00 – 6:00 PM), Monday – Friday, while school is in session. (Coverage of practices/games/tournaments during school vacations or weekends will be based on availability and necessity.); • Each school’s liaison (athletic director) and the successful Offeror shall mutually agree upon a weekly/monthly schedule. The successful Offeror shall not be responsible for covering athletic events unless requested to do so by the School according to its regular schedule or when necessary and mutually agreed upon in advance.; • If the primary trainer is unavailable, a substitute will be provided.; • On site evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and documentation of sports injuries to include coordinated physical therapy sessions.; • Coverage of home varsity and junior varsity football games.; • Coverage of other varsity athletic contests at home.; • Coverage of other junior varsity athletic contests at home based on availability.; • Coverage of all away varsity football games: Justification: o Trainers in the past have traveled with the football team; o Number of football players that need pre-game trainer support; o Violence of the sport; • When traveling: coordinate trainer support coverage with away schools, make appropriate phone calls on behalf of the traveling team in advance of the trip; • Team injury prevention screening/training.; • End of season and year-end injury summaries.; • Assist with the development of team and individualized strength and conditions programs.; • Coordination of student athletic sports physicals (minimum 4 times per year): o April (everybody for the next school year); o July (for Fall Sports); o October (for Winter Sports); o January (for Spring Sports); Set up at each high school and middle school with a maximum cost of $15.00 to defray the cost of the trainer’s supplies.; • Presentation of school insurance information to all athletes.; • Documentation of injuries for proper completion of secondary school insurance forms.; • Process all insurance claims by coordinating with Beaufort County School District Personnel.; • Provide coaches with stocked First Aid Kits.
