Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Kansas (KU) is seeking Translation and Development of Unified English Braille (UEB) Booklets and Braille Ready Files (.brf) in English Braille American (EBAE), Unified English Braille (UEB) and Nemeth Braille; The Accessible Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Systems (ATLAS) and Agile Technology Solutions (ATS) at the University of Kansas is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to develop for interim general education, summative general education, and alternative assessment items and testlets for assessment programs administered by ATLAS and ATS. For example, but not limited to: • UEB booklets for items and stimuli for the Grades 3-10 English language arts (ELA), math, and science assessments.; • Braille Ready Files (.brf) in English Braille American (EBAE), Unified English Braille (UEB) and Nemeth Braille, UEB Math/Science for items and stimuli for Grades 3-12 English language arts (ELA), math, and science assessments.; Bidder will translate ELA, math, and science content into Booklets: • UEB and provide UEB booklets for each subject and grade.: o All translations must be performed by well-qualified, UEB professionals. Bidder will create tactile graphic pages of tables, graphs, maps, pictures and other graphics. Approximately 45% of math items include one or more tactile graphic(s), approximately 20% of ELA items include tactile graphic(s), and approximately 25% of science items include one or more tactile graphic(s).; Braille Ready Files (.brf): • English Braille American (EBAE), Unified English Braille (UEB) and Nemeth Braille for items for each subject and grade.; o All translations must be performed by well-qualified, UEB professionals.
