Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Purchasing Office of the City of Idaho Falls, requests written submittal to provide certain vehicle towing services for the City’s Police and Public Safety Division during the 2022-2023 snow season. A. Upon request of a duly authorized officer of the Idaho Falls Police Department, provide towing service during snow removal call outs for impounded or disabled vehicles, and ensure the equipment and towing services as specified herein are available within the time limits specified herein, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays. B. Respond to all calls from the CITY for towing services by dispatching all equipment then available and cooperate fully and completely with designated CITY personnel. C. Tow truck drivers shall be properly licensed and trained in proper towing techniques and procedures. Own or otherwise possess and operate, at a minimum, the following equipment: 1. One (1) or more heavy duty tow trucks, each of which shall have wheel capability and shall carry lock out tools. All tow trucks shall be provided within thirty (30) minutes following receipt of a request for such services by a duly authorized police officer of the CITY. 2. If the CONTRACTOR owns a slide tow truck he shall make such equipment available within the same time frame. I own a slide truck. I do not own a slide truck. 3. CONTRACTOR shall make all tow trucks and attached equipment available for inspection by CITY representatives upon request.
