This RFQ solicitation is for the blading of roads on the Council and New Meadows districts of
the Payette NF in 2021. This blading will occur on all roads listed in the schedule of items.
Upon completion of the road blading the road shall be generally smooth and well- draining.
Culverts and ditches will be cleaned where necessary. Contractor will include the cost of any
necessary watering and mobilization into their blading cost. The blading of the Goose lake
road will be to a higher standard than the other roads. Contractor will be required to pull all
loose surfacing material from the shoulders and ditches back into the road surface and
incorporate with existing material to distribute fines into a consistent mixture. Contractor will
also be required to compact this road with a smooth drum vibratory roller of adequate size and
weight to compact the surface. Optional Item is for the blading of additional miles of single
lane surfaced forest service roads and is currently unfunded . If optional item is awarded
additional contract time will be given.
Location: Most of the work, except for Goose Lake Road, is in the East Fork of the Weiser
River area. See attached map.
Period of Performance:
Contract time begins on the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and runs until the
appropriate number of calendar day’s elapse. Estimated time to start work is September 1,
2021 to October 29, 2021. If optional items are awarded additional time will be given.
