Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall have a regular workplace of business located within California and have completed installation of a FLIR and/or Wescam camera, UTC Goodrich Hoist, Trakka Beam TLX, technically advanced aircraft (TAA) avionics or used as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) aircraft completion center. The Contractor shall demonstrate adequate facilities, equipment, and personnel to perform avionics installation and/or repair, maintenance and installation of avionics for CHP departmental equipment. Contractor’s regular place of business shall be available for inspection by CHP. B. Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, supplies, materials, tools, transportation, licenses, and/or permits and insurance necessary to maintain, repair and install aircraft communication radios, electronic navigation equipment, auto-pilots, collision avoidance equipment, law enforcement radios and other specialized equipment on aircraft owned and operated by Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP), requiring a certificated Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) technician. Installation, maintenance and/or repairs shall include, but not limited to, onboard avionics, wiring, Bendix-King, Honeywell, Garmin, Technisonic, Ryan, Sandel, Globalstar, Iridium, FLIR Systems, Aero Computers, L3 Wescam, Northern Airborne Technology, VHF radios, transponders, navigation equipment, audio mixer boxes, switching systems, radar altimeters, intercom systems, engine monitoring, traffic collision avoidance systems, moving map, video imaging systems and headsets (including microphones). The term “maintain” shall include service, repair, replace, troubleshoot, and provide new aircraft avionics items.
