Specifications include, but are not limited to: Certain County-owned property (the “Site”) consisting of a vacant guest house and barn within the Root River Parkway corridor (the “Buildings”) and underlying land at the intersection of W Loomis Rd and S Root River Parkway in Greendale, Wisconsin. The Site consists of approximately 1.4 acres (61,000 square feet), including a vacant 1,650 square foot residential building and 5,180 square foot barn and attached silo that historically was used for homesteading and agriculture as well as the International Youth Hostel. The Site is not a discrete parcel but rather is incorporated in the larger Root River Parkway corridor which is a recreational asset of the Parks system. The Buildings are in a state of disrepair. This RFP seeks the restoration of the Buildings as well as new uses that activate the Site and provide recreational benefits to the community
