Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of West Bend is requesting proposal packages for real estate acquisition services for HSIP Improvements at the three signalized intersections listed above. Those intersections were flagged for high rates of crashes involving motorized vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles. They are expected to benefit from upgrading traffic signals and other features of the road itself, to reduce those crash rates. Real estate acquisition is required to expand the existing street right-of-way (ROW), and secure temporary limited easements as well as conveyance of rights, in order to install the proposed improvements. The selected Consultant is expected to complete all work efforts necessary to appraise the lands described in the Plat to be acquired, negotiate with the property owners, and prepare documents needed in accordance with all local, state, and federal requirements in order for the City to acquire the needed land and land rights. Process must meet requirements of the HSIP program as administered by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).
