Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) is soliciting bids for mechanical scarification site-prep on sites locate within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Lakewood-Laona Ranger District, through the Good Neighbor Authority (GNA) program. Included in this packet are the specifications and bid materials Please note that some sites only require planting furrow scarification, and some sites require roller chopping and planting furrow scarification. The bid sheet separates mechanical scarification for roller chopping and furrow scarification (disc trench or bracke) as most contractors don’t have equipment to complete both. Bidders may bid on both roller chopping & furrow scarification or just one of these practices. However, if no bid is received for planting furrow scarification, then DNR has the right to not award any bids for roller chopping as both practices must get completed the same year. All work must be completed by Friday, November 17th. Roller chopping much be completed prior to furrow scarification.
