Specifications include, but are not limited to: MPS is seeking qualified respondent(s) that will provide music expansion support to multiple schools across the district. MPS requires the support of contracted services to support students’ music education. This music education expansion support will be overseen by the MPS Fine Arts Manager, in collaboration with the Music Curriculum Specialist, and respondent, to select music educators best suited to each unique school’s needs and environment. Respondent shall submit a work plan with a specific process that will provide music services for schools where a certified music teacher position is vacant. Respondent shall provide evidence that their work plan meets the deliverables listed below. Deliverables Respondents eligible under this RFP: Are qualified and authorized to contract and insure artist educators for school placement, Provide curriculum-based instruction that meets state education standards Are qualified to provide music educator professional development Provide multimedia documentation of projects for dissemination to a variety of MPS departments Have a deep connection to Milwaukee’s music community and has contracted local musicians for residencies in MPS within the past 5 years Have the ability to work with schools and administrators to implement programming that meets district standards Provide site visits and programming monitoring for ongoing process and quality improvement Are willing and able to retract music educators when necessary Provide multiple entry points for MPS administrators to collaboratively make decisions that affect the program Have a longstanding commitment as a partner with MPS as evidenced by in-kind and pro bono services provided to the district Provide online or blended instruction similar to other MPS faculty using MPS approved online platforms in the event that in person instruction is not possible.
