Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to provide armored transportation services for currency, coins, checks, and traveler’s checks. Pickup at Itasca State Park Headquarters and deliver to Citizen’s National Bank located in Park Rapids, Minnesota. This is for a two-year service. May 1 thru Sept. 30 (M, W, F) 132 services & Oct 1 thru April 30 (W) 61 services. The Contractor shall remove all debris, containers, and scrap materials dispose of in a legal manner; prior to final inspection. Contractors and suppliers shall notify the Project Supervisor prior to the bid opening, of any and all alleged discrepancies in the project documents that affect the cost or completed project performance. No extras will be allowed for failure to comply. 1. The Contractor will furnish a signed and dated receipt, bill of lading or similar document upon pickup identifying the type and amount of currency, time of pickup and any other pertinent information. 2. Contractor may refuse pickup and delivery of any bag that is not secured/locked. 3. Contractor will provide and maintain all vehicles and equipment necessary to provide armored transportation service. 4. Contractor will transport all currency in armored or locked vehicle and provide proper security measures. 5. Contractor will provide at least two (2) armed, uniformed and properly identified personnel with each pickup and delivery. 6. Contractor will perform criminal background checks and drug and alcohol screenings on all of its personnel assigned. 7. The Contractor warrants that it has all necessary governmental licenses and permits to provide armored transportation services. 8. It is acknowledged that that the Contractor is an independent Contractor and not an employee of the Park or State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
