Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Madison Transportation Department is soliciting proposals for Public Engagement Consulting services to assist in several high profile transportation projects, such as North-South Bus Rapid Transit, Passenger Rail Station Location Study, and others. The selected consultant(s) will work at the direction of Metro Transit’s marketing team so that efforts complement existing community outreach plans and efforts. The winning vendor will assist in the engagement of a variety of community members and stakeholders to obtain feedback and information for transportation improvement alternatives. Examples of engagement opportunities and challenges that the selected consultant(s) will assist the city include: • Assisting in Bus Rapid Transit Planning activities on Park Street, Badger Road, and Fish Hatchery, including station locations, street typical section, and accommodation of modes. • Assisting in inter-governmental coordination with the City of Fitchburg regarding N-S Bus Rapid Transit implementation. • Assisting in Bus Rapid Transit Planning activities on Packers Ave and Northport, including station locations, street typical section, and accommodation of modes. • Assisting in Amtrak station location planning.
