Specifications include, but are not limited to: Milwaukee Public Schools is seeking a Reading Readiness screening tool that is a valid, and reliable assessment of literacy fundamentals. The assessment will be administered to all students in grades K4 and K5 for the purpose of assessing a child's phonemic awareness and letter sound knowledge skills, as well as identifying students in need of targeted support in learning. The respondent must provide a product and professional development to be implemented during the 2023-2024 school year. Professional development sessions must be deliverable virtually, and available as prerecorded video to be shared with staff. The product will be used with approximately 9,500 students in 111 schools and administered by 500-600 teaching staff. Licenses will be student-specific, which become active once the student has data recorded.
