Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Fencing with Privacy Slats Installation Services. Work shall be performed on weekends or evenings unless other arrangements have been made with the CHP Facilities Coordinator and Area office contact. A work schedule will be established with the on-site contact to assure a minimum of interruptions of the essential state operation and Contractor's work. 5. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) requires fencing with privacy slats at its Bishop Area office. Work under this scope of work (SOW) is under the jurisdiction of the CHP, who will execute the contract documents, coordinate with the Contractor as necessary, and conduct inspections to ensure the work is being done in strict accordance with this SOW. No deviations from this SOW will be permitted without concurrence and subsequent authorization from the CHP Facilities Coordinator. 6. Contractor shall attend a pre-construction meeting with the CHP Facilities Coordinator and the on-site contact, at which time the Contractor will provide a work schedule and any jobrelated submittals. 7. The Contractor will provide the following services: A. Clear and remove all overgrown vegetation that is within 5 feet of fence line. B. Contractor will remove approximately 600 feet of existing chain link fence on all sides of parking lot and dispose of off-site. C. Furnish and install new 10’ high perimeter fence panels (PFP) plus barbed/razor wire material according to the specification listed below. D. Install new line posts every 6’ on center - 2 7/8” Schedule 40 set in 12” x48” footing. E. Install privacy slats in new chain link fence for privacy. F. Top and mid rail - 1 5/8” Schedule 40. G. Bottom tension wire 9 gauge smooth.
