All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: MPS has identified multiple schools across the district in need of music education expansion support. The Music Administrative Policy called for the expansion of music over a 4-year period. However, MPS recognizes that the teacher shortage has had an impact on the expansion and schools may require the support of contracted services to support students’ music education. This music education support will be overseen by the MPS Fine Arts Manager, in collaboration with the Music Curriculum Specialist, and respondent, to select music educators best suited to each unique school’s needs and environment. Match appropriate music educators with schools in need of service. Ensure that music educators represent the diversity of Milwaukee, (ethnicity, geographic region, gender). Coordinate music schedules to match the needs of each school. Contract music educators for short and long-term residencies. Provide liability insurance to meet district requirements for all music educators contracted by service provider. Complete background checks and provide necessary proof of eligibility for each music educator engaging in a contract with respondent. Respondents will supply music educators trained in classroom management, curriculum alignment, unit and lesson planning based on the state standards for music educators.
