Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas City Kansas Housing Authority is seeking a professional third party entity to award a contract for an initial three (3) year term with two (2), one (1) year extension options, for a total possible contract of five (5) years, to inspect and certify KCKHA current and future 504 dwelling units to the current ADA/UFAS guidelines and regulations. KCKHA owns and operates 1,843 public housing units. The units are in seven (7) Highrise properties (1,064 units); eight (8) townhome properties (555 units); and seven (7) scattered sites properties (174 units) located in Kansas City, Kansas and one (1) three story building (30) units and five (5) 4 plex’s (20 units) in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Section 504 regulations and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations require public housing authorities to make accessible, for disabled and physically handicapped, a minimum of 5% of the total dwelling units it manages.
