Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Wichita is seeking proposals from firms that can provide technical expertise and contract operation of the City’s Water Treatment Plant and Distribution Systems. A new water plant is currently being constructed, which will replace the current Water Treatment Plant in Wichita, Kansas. The new Northwest Water Facility is expected to be completed at the end of 2024. This awarded firm will provideControl Room operations and related tasks at the current water treatment plant located at 1800 W.Museum Boulevard to enable City of Wichita staff to train and prepare for transition to the new Northwest Water Facility. Operating the control room entails managing the drinking water treatment processes within the plant as well as the pumping, distribution, and flow throughout the water distribution system.
