Specifications include, but are not limited to: • A 12-strand dark fiber connection from the City Hall data center to the new City Fire Station and the new County Public Works facility, fully terminated at each location. 6 Strands shall terminate at the Fire Station and 6 strands shall terminate at the Public Works facility (see map after proposal summary) o City Hall 1507 Main St. o New Fire Station 41st and Post Rd Yet to be constructed o New Public Works facility 1681 250TH AVE Yet to be constructed • This fiber connection will be owned, not rented, or leased, by the City of Hays and Ellis County (Please note any details regarding requests for utility locates and repair of damage. Please also note hourly repair costs and what the City and County would be responsible for if damage occurs to more than just our strands. If no information is provided it is assumed that utility locates and repair will be covered and not City or County responsibility) • Fiber must be brought to and terminated to the location(s) of our choice o Ethernet converters, patch cables, and switches will be the responsibility of the City of Hays and Ellis County • Fiber shall be single mode • Acceptance testing and all necessary equipment to perform testing of the fiber optic network shall be provided.
