There will be a new air handling unit with face and bypass steam coil and control valves, supply fan, outside air damper and some ductwork to reconnect to the existing duct supply main. The controls currently are past their useful life and will be upgraded to a standalone DDC controls with the actuation being electric due to the existing air compressor is not operating at 100% capacity. The existing lighting in the mechanical room is being upgraded to LED type fixtures and the new air handling unit will require power connections to the unit. All work will be completed in the South Housing and the contractor can leave a job box in the basement mechanical room where it can be locked up when not in use.
