Specifications include, but are not limited to: Reference the document titled “Existing Heatcraft Refrigeration System” for details on the existing refrigeration system and equipment layout. The Heatcraft unit to be replaced is highlighted in green on the 1st page of the document. The new replacement units shall be like for like units matching the sizing, capability and functions of the existing units. The following shall be included in the scope of work: Work shall be scheduled with the County at least two weeks prior to starting work so food inventories and kitchen operations can be scheduled around the equipment outages. Replacement of this unit must be completed within a 3 day period in order to limit disruption to the kitchen operations. If needed, the refrigerant lines can be run prior to the 3 day refrigeration system shutdown, however the cooler shall not be down for more than 3 days. The refrigeration lines above kitchen area must be installed before 9 am or after 7 pm as noted in section 5.0. New equipment shall include completely new cooling systems including the outdoor condenser/compressor units and controls, refrigerant lines, evaporator units and lockable thermostat controls with vandal resistant guards within the walk in units. The outdoor units must be designed for cold weather operation. New equipment shall at a minimum include all features that the existing units have. Acceptable manufactures for equipment shall include RDI systems, Heatcraft or other equivalents with approval from the County. New equipment shall have an equal or greater rating than the existing equipment, however all new equipment must be compatible with the County’s existing electrical system which is outlined in the attached drawings. Contractor is not responsible to the wiring or electrical connections to the units. Outagamie County will be responsible for coordinating and performing electrical wiring and connections.
