Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Wisconsin-Madison, hereinafter referred to as the “University”, through its Purchasing Services Department, hereinafter referred to as “Purchasing”, is requesting proposals for the Division of Information Technology, hereinafter referred to as “Department” or “DoIT”, for the purchase of 1) Functional and technical consulting services to support the University’s use of and migration to Microsoft-developed software products (Lot 1); and 2) Functional and Technical consulting services to support the University’s use of the Jamf-produced software for management of Apple-based devices (Lot 2); and 3) Functional and technical consulting services to support the University's use of and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosted workload (Lot 3); and 4) Functional and technical consulting services to support the University's ongoing use of Workday products and workloads (Lot 4). The services we may request include consulting, architecture, design, implementation, project management, change management, training, and support. Lot 1 proposers should have expertise in as many of the Microsoft, LDAP, and eDirectory product categories as possible from the above bulleted list. When a proposer does not have local expertise, they may subcontract to fill the necessary capability expertise. UW–Madison uses a variety of enterprise-grade Microsoft software products to provide robust infrastructure, used to deploy campus applications and services with high availability and in an agile manner. These applications and services see high usage from the students, faculty, and staff of University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as employees from across the thirteen campuses of the University of Wisconsin System. This equates to millions of logins a month from over a hundred thousand users. The University would like to better leverage the capabilities of the Microsoft platform with the enhanced connectedness of their toolset. The University wants to realize the value from a better user experience, more cybersecure environment, and use of the data coming out of the Microsoft ecosystem.
