Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Platteville has received a Surface Transportation Program – Urban (STP-U) grant for the reconstruction of East Main Street from Water Street (STH 80) to Broadway (CTH B), approximately 739 feet in length. Water and sanitary sewer utilities are to be designed by others but coordinated with this scope of work to deconflict the work. The water and sanitary sewer project will be bid separately and completed prior to the work for this project. The existing roadway is a 2-lane Minor Arterial. It is a 45-foot wide facility with an urban cross section constructed of concrete pavement. The roadway was last improved in 1984. The roadway has a pavement rating of 4 with failing joints and mid-panel cracking. There are existing sidewalks on both sides of the roadway but no bicycle accommodations. Roadway has existing decorative lighting.
