Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Dakota Unified Judicial System (UJS) seeks qualified nonprofit entities, located within the State of South Dakota, to provide indigent adults with extended residential alternative care programming designed to reduce their risk of recidivism. The UJS seeks to award a grant (or grants) totaling $333,334 to such a care provider (or providers) for room and board costs for indigent South Dakota residents who qualify for the programming, with a maximum award of thirty dollars per day, per program participant. Any grant award shall be distributed in quarterly installments upon submission of a detailed invoice. As a condition of receiving grant funds, the care provider (or providers) shall prepare a report containing information on the results and outcomes of their respective program participants, including: completion rates, termination rates, graduation rates, and recidivism data for the particular term of service.
